Ms. Ginger Rose: a Yorkshire Terrier/Bichon Frisé mix
The cross of these two breeds of dog – Yorkshire Terrier Bichon Frisé – has resulted in the gorgeous long, white silky fur of Ms. Ginger Rose and her playful, intelligent character. A beautiful dog and the owners were delighted with this portrait of their much beloved pet. They had long wanted a painting of their dog and when they saw examples of other dog and cat paintings I had done, they decided I was the right artist to paint Ms. Ginger Rose. I kept the background deliberately dark to accentuate the dog’s beautiful pale coat.
