Antiguan artist Gilly Gobinet’s Art Gallery is located in her charming, secluded seafront property in Fitches Creek, Antigua. Signposts from Piggott’s Village make it easy to find – it is just north of the lovely old Protestant church of St. George. A map below also shows the way.
(Please note that the Coates Cottage Art Gallery in St John’s closed in November 1998).
Gilly Gobinet Art is now on Tripadvisor. Click on the grey owl icon at the top left had corner of this page to see what visitors to the Art Gallery think…

Acrylic paintings on canvas can be removed from their stretchers, rolled and put into rigid tubes for easy transport.
Situated on the north-east coast of Antigua, near VC Bird International Airport, the Art Gallery carries the complete range of her art: original paintings in watercolour and acrylic, high-quality reproduction prints, fine art postcards and greetings cards.
Everything (well, nearly everything!) is suitcase-friendly but paintings can, of course, be shipped upon request by FedEx International, which has always proved both fast and reliable.
You can also see examples of Gilly’s specially commissioned portraits of cats and dogs. These she paints from high resolution photos emailed to her by her clients. They are then sent by FedEx once they have met with the pet owner’s approval.
Gilly has published four small books in the series Cool Caribbean Books (three of these – on Caribbean Cookery, Cocktails & the Top 20 Places in Antigua – are written, edited and illustrated by Gilly). These make both excellent gifts and souvenirs at $US 10 each. The Cookery book is VERY popular! Most of the ingredients are Caribbean but can easily be found elsewhere such as in Europe, the USA and the UK.
Gilly’s Art Gallery is open from Monday to Friday 9-1. However, if you would prefer to visit during an afternoon or at the weekend, do make an appointment – either email her on gillygobinet@me.com or call her on +1(268) 464 6084.
The Art Gallery is usually open from November through to June, which is the high season in Antigua. But visitors to the island in the low season months are always welcome to give Gilly a call or email her to see if she can accommodate them at a mutually arranged time.

How to get to the Art Gallery at Fitches Creek (near the Airport), Antigua
You can also see Gilly at work on her latest piece in her studio or out in the Courtyard – or even in the entrance, where she rolls up the rug for the larger pieces, done on an easel (with a large piece of old sail cloth to protect the floor as she is a very messy painter!). This allows her to step back and review her work as she goes along.
When she gets too hot, she goes for a dip in her small pool: worth seeing as Gilly has painted a complicated floral design right round it on the concrete surrounds, featuring the flowers and plants in her garden!
If you don’t see anything you like but would still like a piece of Gilly’s work, she is always delighted to accept commissions.
She accepts VISA and Mastercard.
